Real Madrid might not have made any significant move in the transfer market so far. But they are bracing themselves for a busy summer ahead, with a myriad of current stars having their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Although a few of them, including Karim Benzema and Luka Modric, are expected to pen new deals at Santiago Bernabeu, the club are in dire need of reinforcements all across the board.
According to The Athletic, Carlo Ancelotti believes Real Madrid need reinforcements in every position on the field except the goalkeeper department, which is currently led by none other than Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian international has been a consistent performer for Real Madrid over the past couple of years, with many even considering him the best goalkeeper in the world. Los Blancos also have an excellent alternative in the form of Andriy Lunin.
Although the Ukrainian international is likely to discuss his future at Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season, the goalkeeper is more than likely to prolong his stay at the club.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid are in dire need of reinforcements in the other areas of the pitch. Coach Ancelotti has reportedly spoken to the Real Madrid camp recently over the need to sign a new forward and a new fullback recently.
Although his request was turned down by the board, there is no doubt that Real Madrid need reinforcements in the full-back positions, in particular. The club do not have a reliable left-back, amid worries over Ferland Mendy’s form and future, whereas Dani Carvajal’s fitness problems are a concern.
The ageing midfield is also a worry for Los Blancos. Both Kroos and Modric’s performances, even at the twilight of their respective careers, are highly valued at the Real Madrid camp. But there remains a need for young, exuberant midfielders that can also serve as leaders for the future.
The Spanish giants are eyeing a move for Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham this summer, but luring the Englishman will be a major challenge.
Even the Real Madrid attack is not without its flaws. While Benzema has regained his scoring form after returning from injury, the club require a reliable long-term replacement for the ageing Frenchman, who has had numerous issues with his fitness recently.
