As reported by L’Équipe, Kingsley Coman is set to be rested for France’s training session today, having fallen ill with the same symptoms that kept Adrien Rabiot out of yesterday’s semi-final win over Morocco.
The winger, who also missed lunch with his teammates, began showing flu symptoms yesterday, and as a result will not take part in the light recovery session scheduled for tonight. He was named on the bench against the Atlas Lions and did not come on.
Adrien Rabiot, meanwhile is feeling better, and is set to resume running exercises tonight. Dayot Upamecano, who also fell ill as a result of the ever-present air conditioning in Qatar, was a substitute on Wednesday and is also feeling better. The Bayern Munich man will take part in today’s training session in full.
Several players such as Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé took bruises against Morocco, but are not a fitness worry for the time being, while Théo Hernandez took a knock to the knee at the end of the first half and will bemore closely monitored.
